Project Description
Burger King, home of the famous whopper, was founded in 1953. It is a beloved American multinational chain of fast food restaurants with over 400 outlets in the MENA region. The Olayan Food Division (OFS) acquired the Burger King franchise for Saudi Arabia in the early 1990’s and became the master franchisee for the wider Gulf region, operating restaurants in UAE, Oman, Egypt and Morocco. OFS opened the first Burger King restaurant in Riyadh in December 1992, and it has been a household name ever since.

STF was thrilled to partner with Burger King in an advisory capacity to strategize on the 2019 promotional Ramadan Campaign. Our creative team tapped into the nostalgic memory of a Burger King meal and infused that deep sense of childhood euphoria into cultural Ramadan sentiments to evoke an effective marketing campaign. Our advisory consultation role was to provide cultural insight and brand knowledge that together, would create a stand out campaign during one of the busiest ad periods, Ramadan.
